ABOUT US

CC_Full-Colour_Positive (2).png

Founded in 1981, Care Corner Singapore is a non-profit organisation with Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status. Woven into the fabric of the community, we work with community partners, donors and volunteers to uplift lives of the marginalised. Through integrated services for children, youths, individuals, families and seniors, we provide a holistic continuum of care across their life stages and major transitions.

Circle of Care (CoC) was convened by Care Corner Singapore in 2013, with support from Lien Foundation & Quantedge Foundation. As Singapore's first holistic childcare and preschool care model, we aim to uplift children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Through preventive and early intervention work, CoC hopes to reduce the gap in opportunities between children from lower-income families and their peers. CoC brings together a multi-disciplinary team comprising social workers, educators, educational therapists and health specialists to support children in their development, promote social mobility and help strengthen families. Parents and the community are also involved in this process to create a stronger support system for at-risk children.

As a pioneer in early childhood development and social work in Singapore, CoC has introduced innovative approaches, and tested services and programmes in multiple preschool sites across Singapore. CoC is committed to ongoing professional development and the sharing of knowledge and expertise, so that we can serve our children better as a sector and community.

Our Inspiration

"In the Making"

We believe in the potential of young children, no matter their background or social class. The early childhood years are formative, and we recognise the immense opportunities in shaping and nurturing them. It takes a village, but a village could be all it takes.

Do you believe in their potential too? Come be part of the village.

The Tangram

The tangram is a puzzle consisting of seven flat polygons which are put together to create shapes. These different pieces come together to form a picture, just as systems have the power to collaborate to create an equitable environment for children to thrive in. As a symbol in this conference, the tangram serves to represent the importance of partnerships in leveling the playing field.
